Brand Standards – Logo Placement

Logo Placement in Marketing Materials

  • Primary Placement: The Aderant logo should typically be placed on the top left or top center of the material.
  • Secondary Usage: When the logo is used as a secondary mark, such as in the footer or signature areas, ensure it doesn’t overshadow the primary content.
  • Co-Branding: If the Aderant logo is included alongside a partner’s logo (e.g., a co-branded image or ad), follow the co-branding rules outlined in our brand guidelines. Ensure all logos are sized and aligned correctly. Contact Aderant Marketing for additional guidelines and partner-related assets.

Usage on Digital Platforms

Website:

The logo should be clearly visible in the website’s header or navigation bar. It should also be used as the favicon, with the brand’s identity intact.

Social Media:

Usage: The logo should be used as the profile picture on all official social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn).

Sizing and Alignment:

  • Ensure the logo is centered and fits well within the square or circular frame of the profile picture.
  • Use high-resolution files to avoid pixelation.

Examples:

  • Ideal: The Aderant logo is visible, fills the frame without distortion, and is sharp even at smaller sizes (i.e., 180×180 px on Facebook).
  • Avoid: A logo that’s cropped awkwardly or placed off-center. Don’t use low-resolution images that become blurry when resized.

Cover Photos/Banners

Usage: Use the logo as part of your cover photo or banner. However, ensure the logo doesn’t dominate the entire banner, and other visuals complement the brand.

Placement: The logo should generally be placed in the upper left, center, or lower-right corner of the banner, depending on the platform’s design.

Sizing and Alignment:

  • Use an appropriate file size for different platforms
  • Ensure there’s enough contrast between the logo and background to maintain readability.

Examples:

  • Ideal: A clean and balanced cover image with the logo positioned clearly and without crowding the rest of the content.
  • Avoid: A logo that’s too small to be recognized or a banner with an overly cluttered background that makes the logo hard to see.

 Posts and Images

Usage: When incorporating the Aderant logo in social media posts, ensure that the logo is placed in a way that doesn’t detract from the post’s content (e.g., promotional image, video, or graphic).

Positioning: To maintain brand consistency, keep the logo in a consistent corner of the image (e.g., bottom-right or top-left).

Sizing:

  • Ensure the logo is visible and large enough to be clearly identifiable but not so large that it dominates the content.
  • For image-based posts, ensure the logo is placed in a clear space, avoiding overlaps with text or other graphics.

Examples:

  • Ideal: The logo is present in the corner of a promotional image but does not obscure any important visual elements.
  • Avoid: Overly large logos that overshadow the message of the post or logos that are too small to be seen clearly.

Video Content

Usage: If you use the Aderant logo in video content (e.g., ads, product demos, stories), include it in the intro, outro, or as a watermark throughout the video.

Positioning:

  • Place the logo in a consistent location (usually bottom-right or top-right), ensuring it does not interfere with any key visuals or text.
  • If used as a watermark, ensure the logo is semi-transparent and unobtrusive while still being visible.

Timing: If using the logo in the intro or outro, keep it on screen for a few seconds to ensure brand recognition.

Examples:

  • Ideal: The logo appears subtly in the corner as a watermark or at the beginning/end of a video, ensuring it doesn’t distract from the main content.
  • Avoid: Placing the logo in the middle of the screen or at an inconsistent size, making it hard to see or read.

Stories (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

Usage: Stories and reels are short-lived but highly visible. The logo should reinforce the brand, especially if it’s a branded story.

Positioning: Keep the logo in a consistent location (usually top-left or top-right) throughout all stories.

Sizing: The logo should be large enough to be legible but not so large that it overshadows the main content of the story.

Examples:

  • Ideal: The Aderant logo is positioned in the top-left corner of a story, balanced with the text and images in the story.
  • Avoid: The logo appears in the middle of the story or at an inconsistent location, which can distract from the message.

Hashtags and Mentions

Usage: When the Aderant brand is mentioned in user-generated content or posts, engaging with the logo’s visual presence through hashtags and mentions is important.

Brand Hashtags: Create branded hashtags (e.g., #Aderant, #AderantMomentum) and use them in every post to maintain a consistent narrative around your brand.

Mentions: Encourage users to mention the brand (via @Aderant) to ensure visibility and brand recognition across user content.

Examples:

  • Ideal: Include brand-specific hashtags and mention the official Aderant account whenever possible.
  • Avoid: Using random or unrelated hashtags that don’t reinforce the Aderant brand’s presence or identity.

User-Generated Content (UGC)

Usage: When sharing UGC that includes the Aderant logo, ensure that the logo appears clearly, and obtain proper permissions to share. Contact the Marketing team for additional details and guidelines.

Guideline: User-generated content should be shared only if it maintains the integrity of your brand, including the correct use of the Aderant logo.

Examples:

  • Ideal: A post that shows and Aderant product with the corporate or appropriate product logo visible and correctly placed.
  • Avoid: Sharing a post where the logo is cropped, distorted, or placed improperly.

Platform-Specific Guidelines

Follow each social media platform’s image sizes and best practices and guidelines for consistency.

Consistency Across Platforms

Ensure the Aderant logo is used consistently across all social media platforms. This includes the logo’s size, positioning, and the file format used. Consistency is crucial in building strong brand recognition across all channels.

Examples:

  • Ideal: The Aderant logo appears in the same position and with similar sizing across all social media profiles and posts.
  • Avoid: Using different logo variations or altering the logo’s size and positioning on different platforms. Exceptions are allowed with prior approval from Aderant Marketing.
